Privacy
Couchcall has no accounts, sets no cookies and shows no ads. It counts page views without identifying you, and the preferences you pick stay in your own browser. Last updated 29 October 2026.
Who runs Couchcall
Couchcall is made by Skadi Oy (Business ID 2808573-9), a company registered in Helsinki, Finland. Skadi Oy is the controller for the little personal data described here. Questions and requests go to [email protected].
Page views
The site uses Glyphex to count page views. Glyphex sets no cookies. To count unique visitors it makes a temporary ID from your IP address and browser user-agent, hashed with a salt that changes every day; the raw IP address is not stored, and the ID cannot follow you across days or across sites. We see how many people read a page, where they came from and their country, never who they are.
We count page views to learn which leagues and pages are worth the work, a legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). To opt out of even this, see glyphex.io/docs/privacy, or block the script with a content blocker; the site works the same without it.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves the pages. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and browser details to deliver each page and to stop abuse, and it keeps short-lived logs. Your browser may also be asked to report failed connections to Cloudflare (network error logging), which carries no page content. Cloudflare is a US company; the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses in its data processing terms.
What your browser keeps
A few choices are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them next time. They are not cookies, they are never sent to us, and we cannot read them.
| Key | What it remembers |
|---|---|
nb-skin, nb-skin-at | The look you picked, Calm or Broadcast, and when you picked it. |
nb-market | The TV market you picked for the where-to-watch listings. |
nb-tv-leagues | The leagues you switched off in the TV guide. |
nb-seen | That the short introduction has been shown once, so it does not show again. |
No cookie banner, and why
There is nothing to consent to: no cookies, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no data sold or shared for marketing. If that changes, for example if the site carries ads one day, we will ask before anything is set, with a reject button as easy to use as accept and a way to change your mind on every page, and this page will say so first.
Links to other sites
Calendar buttons open Google Calendar with the game filled in, and the guides link to clubs, leagues, broadcasters and Wikipedia. Nothing is sent to those sites until you click, and their own privacy terms apply there.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to the page-view counting and complain to a supervisory authority. We hold almost nothing that identifies anyone, so most requests are answered quickly; write to [email protected]. In Finland the authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
Couchcall is not aimed at children under 13.
Changes
When what the site processes changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves with it.
