Updates

What changed on Couchcall: new pages, changes you will notice and corrections, newest first. When we get something wrong, it is listed here with what was wrong. Follow along with the updates feed.

November 2026

  1. New

    Rivalry maps on real maps

Each league's rivalry map now puts every club at its ground, with a magnified box where grounds crowd together, as in London and Madrid. Each rivalry page has its story, the year the clubs first met, the distance between the grounds and further reading. There is also one index of every rivalry we keep.

  2. Change

    Rivalries outlive relegation

A rivalry now belongs to the two clubs, not to a division. When the clubs are in different divisions, the rivalry keeps its page and stays on the map as a dashed line.

  3. Correction

    Every rivalry checked

We went through all twelve rivalry tables against the clubs', the leagues' and Wikipedia's own accounts. Wrong names are fixed (the Kaakon derby is SaiPa against KooKoo, not the Pelicans; several German and Spanish rows carried a region instead of a name), pairs that were never real rivalries are gone, and this season's Georgia–Florida game is in Atlanta, not Jacksonville. The NFL table now has every division pair. Rivalries not played this season keep their pages.

  4. Apps

Couchcall for iPhone and Android: beta sign-up

The apps are being designed. You can ask to join the TestFlight or Android beta now, and we will write when the first build is ready.

  5. Correction

Veikkausliiga: the last round and the final table

The final-round matches on 8 November were missing, and the table stopped after the 22-round regular season. Both are fixed: the fixtures come from the league's own list, and the table now follows the championship and relegation rounds.

  6. Change

    Early estimates say so

Some scores are made before the full pre-game forecasts exist, from the teams' ratings and records alone. Those cards now say they are early estimates and that the score firms up in the days before kickoff.

October 2026

  1. Correction

    League pages show seven days

League pages promised a week but listed eight days, which made the busiest of them heavier than they needed to be. They now show seven.

  2. Change

    Easier for a first visit

Scores are labelled as out of 100 with a short legend, the explanations use plain words, and the TV guide and game pages say what each part means.

  3. New

    Pick cards say why

Each pick card gives the two strongest reasons to watch as a sentence, with the rest as a short fact line.

  4. New

    Our own club ratings

Six soccer competitions now use Couchcall's own club strength ratings, built from every result since 2001. They are new and still being calibrated, and the ratings page says how.

  5. New

    A privacy page

What the site processes when you visit: no cookies, no accounts, no ads, and page views counted without identifying you.

  6. New

League guides, fan types and TV rights

Each league has a guide to its rules, history and tactics, with spoiler and paywall marks on every link. There is a page on what kind of fan you are, and a table of who shows each league in Finland, Sweden, Germany, the UK and the US.

  7. New

    Couchcall is at couchcall.app

Twelve leagues, a score from 0 to 100 for every game before it starts, and a spoiler-free verdict after it ends.
